Did Joan Crawford honeymoon in the Yellow Cottage? The well-sourced rumors are convincing but we checked with one of her biographers and he can't say for certain. The woman whose family owned the property since the 1930s seemed pretty convinced that Ms. Crawford and her 4th husband, Franchot Tone, spent their honeymoon in this cottage. At least that's what she told us when we purchased the property from her in 1999. In any case, we've hung a framed photograph of Joan and Franchot in the living room to honor them.
